Journal Therapy for Calming Anxiety
Anxiety is one of the most frequently diagnosed barriers to emotional well-being, and for every medical diagnosis there are probably at least 10 people living with unsettling worry, panic, defaulted negative thinking, and other associated symptoms.
One reliable tool to calm anxiety is journal writing, the intentional and purposeful process of expressing and releasing thoughts and feelings in a private space. Writing helps you reframe and reclaim your stories in language that reflects your own deeper truth. Writing helps slow you down and supports you in remembering to remember healthier habits. Writing for even five minutes can offer dramatic shifts in perspective and awareness. A journal can be a true friend when you don’t have anyone to confide in.
In this workshop, you’ll learn more about the ways writing calms anxiety, and you’ll write briefly to prompts to explore the transformative power of the journal to develop the skills of calming anxiety and restoring inner peace.
